To remove the alarm on a Golf 3 GTI with white wires, first ensure the vehicle's battery is disconnected for safety. Locate the alarm unit, usually found under the dashboard or near the fuse box, and identify the white wires associated with the alarm system. Carefully cut or disconnect these wires, making sure to insulate any exposed ends to prevent short circuits. Afterward, reconnect the battery and test the vehicle to ensure the alarm is fully disabled.
Disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes. If there's no fault, the light will not come back on when you reconnect.

reset the computer on a ez go golf cart
I believe you can unhook the battery and let it sit for about 5 minutes before hooking it back up. Otherwise you need a VAGscanner to reset the fault codes.
A battery for a Powakaddy golf cart costs around $100. They can be bought online, at golf stores like Golf Supply Store, Golf Town, Golf Smith and Golf Warehouse.
Just done mine with no probs no problem at all, just make sure you have the key in the doorlock to turn the alarm off, that alarm is very loud and I almost sh.. myself a cpl of times forgetting about the alarm coming on hooking her back up lol. Another thing you have to look out for is that in case you have a factory Stereo that you have the code for it.
I had the same problem on my '96 golf mk 3, it can be either a) not making contact on battery terminals or b) the battery needs to be replaced... Hope it helps 1) new battery may be the needed if its not solved, check the fuses (couple need be replaced) ,i did that started working.
I don't know, but my 1996 golf just reset to zero tonight as I passed the 300,000km mark.
