To change the rear lamp unit on an Octavia Estate, first, open the tailgate and locate the access panel on the side of the rear compartment. Remove any screws or clips securing the access panel, then carefully pull it away to expose the rear lamp assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector from the old lamp unit, unscrew or unclip the unit from its housing, and replace it with the new one. Finally, reconnect the electrical connector, secure the lamp assembly, and replace the access panel.

From the rear trunk, remove carpet strip behind the lamp by unscrewing 2 plastic discs. You can then see the black plastic bulb holder assembly. Pull down on the black plastic tab on the lamp holder to release it. The complete lamp holder can then be gently guided out of the rear lamp assembly.

Unscrew it from the rear of the light. You may have to take it off to do this.
Easiest way is to remove the whole tail trim (un screw the handle) then pry the rest out, then unbolt the light cluster, (from memory 2 bolts), disconnect the wiring, change bulb and its the complete reverse putting it all back together.
Rear lamp? Oh, I dunno ... maybe you need to turn around and look? A lamp isn't that hard to find ...
