its a hard job to do so if your unsure what to do, go to a professional. but this is how its done - jack up and support the from of the car and support on axle stands and remove the tire. lift the interior carpet in the footwell and peel back a flap in the soundproofing to reveal two nuts (they may be underneath a opaque styrofoam sheet). remove the anti roll bar connected to the wishbone (2 bolts). undo the nut and remove the hubcarrier-to-lowerarm clamp bolt (remember which way it was fitted). pull down the lowerarm/wishbone to release the balljoint taper(a large flat screwdriver may be required to separate if a tight fit). now unscrew the nuts underneath the sound proofing in the footwell. now remove the securing bolt to the body underneath the car. now pull down and remove the wishbone/lowerarm from under the vehicle. to reattach do the reverse but ensure that all bolts are specifically torqued using a torque wrench, these are as follows; - balljoint-to-hub carrier nut (a new one will be required) - 38 Nm, rear mounting bracket-to-body nuts - 40Nm, front mounting nut and through bolt - 85 Nm. like i said this is harder to do than you think, if you are not entirely sure what to do go to a professional garage and get them to do it for you. best of luck - Dave.

That covers it nicely, its not a difficult job compared so some others you might do but take care that the driveshaft doesnt 'pop out' of the gearbox and cover the floor in oil. Also, you might need another jack to help support the new wishbone as you push it back into place. Getting the centre bushin place as you line everything up may take a bit of 'umph'.

How do you change wishbone on citroen xsara picasso?

To change the wishbone on a Citroën Xsara Picasso, first, ensure you have the necessary tools and safety equipment. Raise the vehicle and secure it on jack stands, then remove the front wheel. Detach the ball joint and the bolts securing the wishbone to the chassis and subframe. Replace the old wishbone with the new one, reassemble the components, and ensure everything is tightened to the manufacturer's specifications before lowering the vehicle.
