Took me less than 2 minutes!! :p
I'm still trying to figure out the reset procedure, but for the battery R&R: The remote first comes apart into halves, pulling apart lengthwise. You can start the process by: flicking out the metal key part, inserting approx. 1/4" slotted screwdriver tip in the slot that divides the recess crossways in the middle, gently twisting the screwdriver. Once the two halves have started to separate, pull them the rest of the way by hand. Next, the whole back cover (away from the buttons) comes off. It starts easily if you gently pry up with that same screwdriver and that same twisting motion along the gasket between the back cover and the body, starting at the once-hidden end near the part number, FCC ID, etc. Work your way gently around the edge being careful not to mar the gasket. Once the cover is off you will be looking at the (-)NEG side of a CR2032 coin battery (in my case anyways...). As I said, still trying to get the car to recognize the key. I'll post again if/when I figure it out. Good luck!
If you're asking about adding a NEW keyless remote, only a dealer can do that. It's a very specialized piece of equipment that can add the new remote to your vehicle's computer. If you're asking about RE-programming your keyless remote after replacing the battery, check the inside cover of the remote. It should give instructions on how to solve your problem.
You will need a scan tool to program this Keyless Fob.
Most of the time all you need to do is replace the battery. If it doesn't work after that, you will need to take it to a dealer.
if it has power door locks then it should have keyless remotes

You can program the keyless entry remote, for your 2001 Saturn L200, by holding the unlock and lock weapons at the same time. The red light will flash on and off. The remote will be programmed when the red light stays illuminated.

the batterys in your keyless remote may need to be changed
If you have a owner's manual the directions might be in there. For my 2001 Escape that's where I found the answer
You can program a 2001 Chevrolet Camaro by locking then unlocking the door locks.
A keyless entry remote on a 2001 Toyota Sequoia can not be reprogrammed at home. The key must be taken to a dealership where the engineers can program it with new settings.
