To change the turbo on a 2000 VW Beetle TDI, first, disconnect the battery and remove the engine cover. Then, drain the coolant and oil, and remove the intake and exhaust pipes connected to the turbo. Unbolt the turbo from the manifold, disconnect the oil supply and return lines, and replace it with the new turbo. Finally, reassemble all components, refill fluids, and reconnect the battery.
