If it's not your truck to do this with, you have no business doing this, plain and simple. You want a fast truck? Go buy your own, pay for your own fuel, then see how fast you want to drive.

Well, the company will see this, and they'll have their mechanic plug his computer into the ECM to see what the setting are. Once they find out where those settings are, you can kiss your career goodbye.
If you're in the US, and you own your own truck, you simply take it to the Volvo dealer (if you have a Cummins or Cat motor, any dealership or repair shop which can work on those motors will suffice), and have them reprogram the ECM settings. Pretty simple.
