Park the car on a level surface. Drain the oil and install a new filter. Pour in 4 quarts of the correct weight oil. Start the engine and let run for 2 minutes. Shut down and wait 30 minutes. Check the oil level on the dipstick and add enough oil to reach the full mark. You now know the capacity.
Should fit pretty much as is, might need to change / up grade mounting bushes/components. don't forget the ecu's tho....

The spark plug gap for a 1997 Peugeot 306 1.6 is typically set between 0.8 mm to 1.0 mm (0.031 to 0.039 inches). Proper gap settings are crucial for optimal engine performance and fuel efficiency.

The engine mounts for a 1997 Peugeot 406 diesel are typically located at the front and rear of the engine, as well as on one or both sides. The front mount connects the engine to the chassis, while the rear mount supports the back of the engine. Depending on the specific model and configuration, there may also be a side mount that helps stabilize the engine. Accessing them usually requires lifting the vehicle and may involve removing other components for better visibility and reach.

To change the high-tension (HT) leads on a 1997 Peugeot 406 16V, first ensure the engine is off and cool. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, then carefully remove each HT lead from the spark plugs and ignition coil, taking note of their order. Replace the old leads with new ones, ensuring they are firmly connected to the spark plugs and ignition coil. Finally, reconnect the battery and start the engine to verify the installation.
