Adapted from page 58 of the 1973 Volkswagen Owners Manual: 1. Loosen screw in the center of the trim ring below the headlight (6 o'clock) and take off the trim ring by firmly grasping the loose screw and pulling the trim ring off. 2. Remove the three short screws (12 o'clock, 4 o'clock, and 8 o'clock) in the sealed beam retaining ring and take the ring off. (Note: Do not alter the long screws at 9 o'clock and 12 o'clock as these set the angle of the headlight.) 3. Take the sealed beam out of the support ring and disconnect the wiring connector. 4. Repeat steps 1 - 3 in reverse order to install the new sealed beam.
