To determine if an Opel Vectra engine is in good condition, check for any unusual noises during operation, as well as smooth idling and acceleration. Inspect for oil leaks and examine the engine oil’s color and consistency; it should be clean and not overly dark or gritty. Additionally, review the vehicle's service history for regular maintenance and consider conducting a compression test to assess the engine's internal health. A diagnostic scan can also reveal any stored error codes that may indicate underlying issues.
Every 4 years or 40,000 miles - whichever is the sooner
there must be a speed limter on it to 50mph
Depending on the size of the engine, I know the 1.4 is a 30 litre tank
Its a belt but its the rollers that fail check out www.v6technicians.co.uk they know all bout this engine It has a timing belt. Only some diesels or the 2.2 petrol Vectra's have timing chains.
It would help to know the make and year of this vehicle if you expect an answer. Opel, right? What year and what engine?
At one time, the only spark plugs for vauxhall/opel in general were AC-Delco.Don't know if main dealers still supply them or not? These days,I fit NGK to everything from my lawn mower to small engined light aircraft. There is a saying that NGK make spark plugs, the rest make posh fishing weights!I have yet to have an NGK fail before completing it's full mileage.
Engine management light on....needs to go to a vauxhall garage or local garage to be plugged into diagnostic centre then you will know whats wrong with it...

I am looking for an answer, can you help? I want to know if you can buy and Opel Corsa Utility vehicle in Australia
You will need to have some information ready. It is good to know the horsepower and the torque of your diesel engine.
