I had this problem on my Fiat 20v turbo after the bonnet cable snapped.
You will need a long flat head screw driver.
Look between the top slats on the grill and you can see the bonnet catch (the bit where the cable attaches)
Slot the screw driver in between the nut attached to the cable and pull to the left
this should open the bonnet be very care fully not to puncher the radiator
I found doing the above at night with a torch easier as you can see the end of the cable better
For a Fiat Punto, you'll need to get under the car - it might be the same for the coupe.
I jacked up the car, placed it on a stand on the passenger side, and reached up underneath. I've videoed it - quick to do once you see it.
Pull the handle on the drivers side to release it and then put your hand - palm up - through the gap at the front of bonnet in the middle so your fingers can lift the final release handle. If the gas struts are u/s then it will be very heavy to lift.If the level is slack - it points to a snapped bonnet release cable. To open the bonnet in this situation (on a Fiat Punto), you'll need to get under the car.I jacked up the car, placed it on a stand on the passenger side, and reached up underneath. To open the bonnet on a Fiat Bravo, first ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the ignition is off. Inside the car, locate the bonnet release lever, usually found on the driver's side near the footwell. Pull the lever to release the initial catch, then move to the front of the car and slide the secondary safety catch (usually located under the center of the bonnet) to lift the bonnet fully. Finally, secure the bonnet with the prop rod if necessary.
the bonnet lever on a fiat brava is by the clutch pedel and has a red handle this may be the same on the bravo

On a 2003 Fiat Ulysse, the bonnet catch is typically located inside the vehicle, near the driver's side. You can find it by pulling the lever located beneath the dashboard, usually to the left of the steering wheel. After pulling the lever, you might need to press the secondary catch on the front grille to fully open the bonnet.
Under the Bonnet.
