A Td5 Defender Has Permanent 4 Wheel Drive...
maybe!
yes
It look's like you have to use Land rover fluid-Part # LRN 2261 Power steering/Ace fluid. I put regular fluid in my 99 land rover now I have a leak.
Most Land Rovers are FULL-TIME 4x4. Earlier Series Land Rovers (before they were named Defenders) were not. You either had to depress a yellow knob to engage high range 4x4 or pull a red lever to engage low range (this automatically engaged 4x4, assuming your front hubs are locked). On post Series Land Rovers you have the option of locking the center differential. Series cars did not have a center differential as they weren't full-time 4x4s. Some Discovery 2 models, earlier versions, did not have this as they relied on traction control. There are some rumors that a 4x2 land rover might get produced, this also happened with the Series landrovers. These will/were not able to go 4x4 as they lack the required mechanical parts.
i have the security code number but it has a zero as well as a number eight in it
Front 28 PSI. Rear 38 PSI.
where do I put trasmission fluid in landrover discovery 2
Put windows all the way down then all the way up one at a time.
It is an air suspension system. That's why you can find what fluid to put int in. Unless you are referring to the a.c.e.System in witch case it takes land rover active cornering enhancement fluid only!
Move the car at a walking pace, put the gearbox into neutral and move the high/ low stick from low to high.
I think you have to put your transmission on Neutral then shift to 4x4.
You can if the 1990 truck is a 4x4.
