I have a 1987 Mercedes that has no trunk key. Do I remove the back seat to get in?
Having the same problem, i believe it to be at the back left side under the bonnet. (Apparently there are 2 fuse boxed there and 1 under the back seat.)
On my 1984 190E, it is simple - there are a couple of tabs at the bottom of the back seat (where your heels would be if you were sittng), you have to look, the seat will pull right out!
it is located under the rear seat on the right side
Remove seat!
find the "hole" in the back of the seat. ... wait a sec.. read your manual.
To remove the seat from a Mercedes 380SL, first slide the seat all the way forward to access the rear mounting bolts. Use a socket wrench to remove these bolts, then slide the seat back to access the front bolts and remove them as well. Once all bolts are removed, disconnect any electrical connectors for seat adjustments or heating, and carefully lift the seat out of the car. Always ensure to take precautions to avoid damaging the interior.
Move the seats all the way back, unbolt the two bolts holding the front of the frame to the floor. Move the seat all the way forward, and remove the two bolts in the back. Tilt the seat back, and unclip the wires underneath the seat.
