drop your glovebox lid down and the resister is there held in with 2 screws very easy to replace
my heater switch on my vauxhall frontera as just stopped working but we can feel slightly heating coming through
the relays are behind the glove box. you have to take the glove box out to have access to the relay for the heating system
If the resistor is alright why replace it.
How do you replace a fan blower resistor on a vauxal Corsa?
Don't know
The heat anticipator is a resistor that is part of a thermostat control mechanism in some heating systems. It is typically a wire-wound resistor that helps regulate the cycling of the heating system by anticipating the heat demand and shutting off the heating element before the desired temperature is reached.
This question has come up before, the answer will be probably one of two faults. The switch itself can be faulty,it "feels" ok when operated but is not passing current.Or,the resistor which regulates the fan speed as selected on the switch is failed. There is a full answer on the site about how to replace the resistor which is found usually in the heater ducting under the bonnet.
where is the switch resistor on 2003 buick
To change the heat resistor on a GMC Safari van, first disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Locate the resistor, usually found near the blower motor under the dashboard, and remove any necessary panels for access. Disconnect the wiring harness from the resistor, unscrew it from its mount, and replace it with the new resistor. Finally, reassemble any panels, reconnect the battery, and test the heating system to ensure proper function.
The resistor in the heating/air conditioning system controls the blower speed. As the fan speed switch is turned, the resistor adjusts the amount of current to the blower motor, changing the fan speed.
The old resistor was burned out. If you burn out the new one again, replace the blower motor.
A blower resistor can be replaced, in your 2002 Oldsmobile, by removing the resistor wiring. Remove the retaining screws. Reverse the process to install the new resistor.
