Just did it this evening after purchasing NYC type yesterday. I replaced the parking bulb on passenger side which seems easier task to driver's side. Task was not easy, but is possible. Place arm through small opening in engine bay and feel for a circular cap that covers parking light casing. Pull off this cap. Once this is off, with some patience, feel for the parking bulb.... Place fingers securely around bulb and it will pull out with a lot of force! Simple reinsert new bulb and fit back cover/ cap... Good luck!
