How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 2003 VW Golf?

OK, firstly, this is really is not a major operation as I have can testify, has taken me nearly two hours to work out this simple procedure.

Essentially everything is self explanatory, remove the metal slider bar (clip), open the plastic backing fascia and remove. The trick is really that metal retaining wire that holds on the bulb. This wire is simply hooked into a metal clip.

When you are looking directly at the wire take the left had side of the wire and push it left, it will simply ping off.

When putting the wire holder back on simply push the left side of the wire back onto the hook, all very tricky but all you need to do is hook that left wire under the metal retainer clip, so left and then up, the left side will then click into place - all done.

Other than that clip bit the rest is easy going. Good luck friends. Works for 2000 VW Golf as well!
