To turn on the dash lights in a 1992 Mercedes 190E, locate the headlight switch on the left side of the dashboard. Rotate the switch to the right until you hear a click, which activates the parking lights and dashboard illumination. If the lights still do not turn on, check the dimmer switch (often integrated with the headlight switch) to adjust the brightness of the dash lights. Ensure that the vehicle's ignition is in the "on" position for the lights to function.

To reset the car alarm on a 1986 Mercedes-Benz 190E, first, ensure the car is unlocked. Insert the key into the driver's door lock and turn it to the unlock position, holding it there for a few seconds. If the alarm continues to sound, you may need to disconnect the car battery for a few minutes to reset the system. Reconnect the battery and try starting the car.
Check the hazard light switch. This switch cuts the power to the indicators when in use. If the switch has failed it will cause an open circuit in the indicator circuit.
