He i,have had the same problem, you can release the lock by droping rear seat and go into boot. The boot lock/catch as got a hole were you can put a thin screw driver in. Boot will pop open, then take cover off boot lid pull two prong multi plug off clicker boot switch. You may see that the prongs have turned green spray wd40 and clean, hope this helps as mine is working ok now, regards savpt
