it doesnt have one.
It doesn't have a dip stick. it's a sealed unit. At least that's how was on a Passat I had with the tiptronic.
There's no dipstick in new passat, you have to take it to the dealership where they have a special device that hook up to your transmission.
There isn't one; there that was easy and unhelpful. A more helpful solution can be found on this site http:/www.taligentx.com/passat/maintenance Great record of maintenance on some of the most common repair items for a Passat.
The oil dip stick is the longer of the two dip sticks. The other dip stick is the transmission fluid.
The dip stick is on top of the valve cover in the middle, should have a yellow top.
Yes, the transmission is maintenance free. No fluid changes required.

Yes, to get an accurate reading the dip stick should always be screwed in.
pull out the transmission dip stick like your going to check the fluid level and just above the full mark on the dip stick it should be written on the dip stick!
the auto box in my passat is a tiptronic box and as such it does not have a dip stick if the same box is in your Jetta then take it to a transmission specialist who knows how to check the oil for you as it needs to be conected to a scanner to determin the fluiod levelGlynn SheffieldSee this answer it may help: Special:Contributions
Let it run and get hot. cut it off and let sit for a few. wipe stick clean, stick it in but do not screw in. check it... oil should between the 2 lines on the dip stick.
