My 2001 Mercedes Benz c320 key came apart, how do I put it back together.
two things replace the 2 batteries inside the key ( IT'S THE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE A QUARTER ) you are out of range
You can open it with a key, remote, or knob by shift lever
I have a 2003 e500 i went for a swim with my key, its still working
The key comes apart from the top, you can use the blade key to push in the tab inside the key and at the same time pull the key apart
It's easy (your owners manual explains this) 1) Remove the "backup" metal key 2) Press in (from the side) on the grey plastic inside. It should move easily 3) Pull open.
opened door with key fob now car will not start. any idea how to reset?
Put your Key in the lock and turn it counterclockwise,,,, Push the button and voila.... the trunk lid opens.....
Do you have the "valet key" (black FOB key with the auto-lock & 'panic' buttons are)? We had this problem with our '98 E320 and it turned out the battery in the valet key needed replacing.
To replace the battery on a Mercedes ml 350 key fob it is probably best to ask the supplier where it is purchased or there may be some instructions online.
