I just had this on my skoda fabia 1.2 , I found that it was the Outer c/v joints on the drive shaft , this is easily repaired as you can get the whole c/v joint kits from about £25 each from somewhere like euro car parts etc. Or it might be just a split in the c/v joint boot whitch can easily be replaced and packed with grease again costing less than a whole joint . To replace the drive shaft on a Kia Sorento, first, elevate the vehicle securely and remove the wheels to access the drive shaft. Disconnect the drive shaft from the differential and the transmission by unbolting the retaining bolts. Carefully slide the drive shaft out from its mounts, then install the new drive shaft by reversing the removal process, ensuring all bolts are tightened to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, reattach the wheels, lower the vehicle, and perform a test drive to ensure proper installation.

Clean the shaft, then slide the new gaiter onto the shaft, applying grease as needed, and secure it with the provided clamps. Finally, reassemble the drive shaft, wheel, and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
