the fuse for the cigarette lighter is on the left upper of the fuse box and is number 1
check the fuse or the ground wire.
Trade it in for a Volvo. Or a BMW. Or a Ford. Anything but a Peugeot. I guarantee you this will not be the last thing you fix.
To remove the cigarette lighter from a Peugeot 106, first, ensure the vehicle is off and disconnect the battery for safety. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the lighter's surrounding trim or panel. Once exposed, carefully pull out the lighter assembly from the socket, disconnecting any wiring if necessary. Reverse the process to install a new lighter if needed.
Unless Peugot has gone through the trouble of placing an inverter to convert the batteries DC to AC (highly unlikely), the cigarette lighter would be DC.
In the coin compartment and behind the arm rest towards the back seats.
just solved this it is the odd ball fuse sitting out on its own to the side.
Fuse no 23 20 amps
In the 2005 Peugeot 607, the cigarette lighter fuse is typically located in the fuse box inside the vehicle. This fuse box is usually found in the dashboard on the driver's side or under the hood. You can refer to the owner's manual for the exact location and fuse number. If the cigarette lighter is not working, check the corresponding fuse and replace it if necessary.
I would suggest that as you are asking this question, you have a cigarette lighter-less 206 or have seen a few around. The simple answer is no, not all 206's have cigarette lighters. They do have a plug behing the blanking plate that a peugeot cigarette lighter will plug into, or you can easily (and cheaply) fit a universal aftermarket one with a hole saw and some crimp connectors. Some are also supplied with the socket but not the actual insertable plug (the bit that gets hot) in which case you can get one from most reputable breakers yards.
The cigarette lighter on a Peugeot 106 is typically located on the center console, just below the radio or near the gear shift. It may also be found in the vicinity of the dashboard, depending on the specific model year. If you're having trouble locating it, consult the vehicle's owner's manual for precise details.
