it's dumping oil on top of the pistons. you have bad valves. that's why there's black smoke. get the valves replaced
check your pvc. If that is not working your engine will blow the oil out somewhere.
its not turning off and on its just losing and gaining rpm`s
Check your exhaust for blue smoke, you may need a valve job or new rings.
You may have bad head gaskets when, you are losing engine coolant and you don't see any leaks.you see a white smoke (steam) coming from the exhaust pipe.you have a sweet smell coming from the exhaust pipe.you see air bubbles in the radiator coolant with the radiator cap off and engine running.
The PW 80 has a washer in the exhaust. You have to unbold the exhaust at the engine. You might have to take the muffler off or at least losing it. The washer is right inside the header pipe. Take a screwdriver or something that will fit in the washer and pop it out. Be carefull not to lose the exhaust gasket. It sometimes will stay stuck in the cylinder. ROCKETMAN
Im losing engine power in my 2003 CTS?
You may have bad head gaskets when, you are losing engine coolant and you don't see any leaks. you see a white smoke (steam) coming from the exhaust pipe. you have a sweet smell coming from the exhaust pipe. you see air bubbles in the radiator coolant with the radiator cap off and engine running. you see a milky substance collecting on the engines dip stick and/or engines oil cap..
The question could be improved to read: "Why does steam come out of the exhaust when I first start my vehicle?" Answer: condensation. When you shut-off your engine and the the exhaust pipes cool down, water will condense on the interior surfaces of the pipes from the warm air in the exhaust pipes. This water pools there until the engine starts up again. Then, it starts to evaporate and exits the tailpipe as steam. After all the liquid water evaporates and the exhaust pipes get too hot for water to remain on their surfaces, the visible steam will cease to emerge from the tailpipe. So, no; it is most likely not from a blown head gasket or a crack in the engine. If you are not losing coolant then all is well, drive happy
internal engine leak is possible, smell your exhaust is it sweet? is there moisture coming out of your tail pipe? is there water in your oil? it is also possible for your engine to run so hot that coolant evaporates as steam through the overflow tube into the fill tank, keep it full
Tighten it up!
Check for extra white color in the exhaust, could be a ruptured head-gasket.
Losing coolant with no apparent leaks, White smoke out the exhaust that has a sweet smell to it,
