For Example: On a 2004 Mini Cooper S -
After a brake service/repair has been properly completed (including replacement with a NEW wear sensor)
The brake wear indicator light on the instrument panel can be re- set (turned off) by:
1)car in NEUTRAL and the parking brake OFF
2)WITHOUT STARTING THE ENGINE
2)Turn the key ignition to position 2 while holding down the brake petal.
The light (if by magic) will turn off (after about 15-20 seconds).
If it does not - continue to hold down the brake pedal until the light does go turn off. It may take a little longer.

To reset the brake light indicator on a 2005 Mazda 3, first, ensure that the parking brake is fully released. If the light remains on, check the brake fluid level and top it off if necessary. If the issue persists, disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few minutes to reset the vehicle’s electronic systems. Reconnect the battery and check if the brake light indicator has turned off.

There is not a reset for the break wear indicator light on the Mercedes-Benz GL450. You will need to fix the problem before the light will go off.
If you mean the Flat tire indicator button, it's next to the parking brake.
Service it ;)
The brake wear indicator is a non-reusable sensor that is installed in the brake pad. If this sensor is activated then the entire sensor must be replaced. Parts are available on-line if you are not close to a MINI dealership. After the worn sensor is replaced, you turn the key to position II without starting the car and wait for the light to reset. The sensor can be replaced without removing the caliper.
To reset the brake wear indicator on a 2011 Renault Master, first, turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Then, press and hold the brake pedal while simultaneously pressing the gas pedal. After a few seconds, release both pedals. This should reset the brake wear indicator, and the warning light should turn off. If the light remains on, consider checking the brake system for any issues.
The light is on because there is a problem with the system. Until the problem is fixed the light will remain on. Once the problem is fixed the light will reset itself after a short drive.
To reset the brake lamp indicator on a 2000 Acura TL, first ensure that the brake lights are functioning properly. If they are, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for about 10 minutes to reset the system. Reconnect the battery and check if the indicator has cleared. If the light remains on, it may indicate a more serious issue that requires further diagnosis.
