If your 1999 Land Rover Discovery Series II engine turns over but won't start, it could be due to several issues. Common causes include a lack of fuel reaching the engine, a faulty ignition system, or issues with the air intake. Check for fuel pump operation, inspect the spark plugs and ignition coils, and ensure that the air filter is clean. Additionally, consider checking for any diagnostic trouble codes that might indicate specific problems.

I'm looking for any advice all of you experts can give... thank you very much! I need some help with my land rover Discovery series II 2001, the car is run fine, but one day, I stop on a red light and the engine turn off, I was able to start the engine back on, but later the same day I had the same problem. And the next day the car won't start any more we are looking for some technical expertise as to thoughts why my 2001 discovery II is not starting any more. If it is a Fuel Filter - where is the part located in the vehicle? I think it might be the fuel pump, but I don't know where is located. Could it be an oxygen sensor? Thank you in advance for all your support that I can get.
To check the transmission fluid level on a 2001 Land Rover Discovery, start with the vehicle on a level surface and the engine running. Locate the transmission dipstick, which is usually found near the rear of the engine bay, and remove it to wipe it clean. Reinsert the dipstick fully, then remove it again to check the fluid level, which should be between the "hot" marks if the engine is warm. If the fluid is low, add the appropriate type of transmission fluid through the dipstick tube.
The production of the Land Rover Series III (3) was started in 1971. Replacing the Series IIA, it looked very similar in external appearance, however included some internal refinements.
when you change the fues and relay switches and the truck dont start what to do next.
is it necessary to have r14 fuse and r6 fuse in the fuse box to start and keep vehicle running
Several things can cause your land rover not to turn over. I would start with checking the battery. Is it fully charged? Do you hear a click when you try to start it. If so, could be a weak battery or a faulty starter solenoid. Those two are the most probable.
There is an obstruction in the cooling system. First suspect would be the thermosatat stuck in the closed position.
In a Rover 75, the starter motor is located on the engine block, typically on the driver's side near the transmission bell housing. To access it, you may need to remove some components, such as the air intake or engine cover, depending on the engine configuration. This positioning allows the starter motor to engage with the flywheel to start the engine.
