It won't fix the cause, but to shut the thing up, turn to page 184 in the operators manual.. find the fuse map.. there should be 5 rows of 9 fuses... all colour coded.. top left, nearest the big fuses (which I have ignored) is fuse 6, to fuse 14 at the other end of the row.. 15 is under 6, going to 23, and so on. Pull out #13 <5amp>(top row second in from right) Pull #15 <5amp>(second row, furthest left Pull out #21.. <5amp>immediately under where #13 was Pull #32 third row, furthest right (20amp) This will neutralise the alarm, but keep the central locking.. DON'T leave the fuses in the car.. take them inside, and contact the garage at a more socialble hour.. this wil allow you to drive the car, saving a small fortune in pick up fees.
My vauxhall zafira's alarm keeps going off at 3.30 - 4am every morning. we have a key to dis arm the alarm but can not find where to put it to turn it off. and why is it going off.
disconnect the battery
Yes, you can stop the alarm from going off in a Vauxhall Vectra by removing certain fuses related to the alarm system. Typically, this would involve pulling the fuse for the alarm or central locking system. However, doing so may disable other functions as well, and it's advisable to consult the vehicle's manual for the correct fuse location and to consider resolving the underlying issue with the alarm system instead.
The service booklet for my Zafira 1600 petrol (2009)(25k) as been stamped twice, on each service they have used an SAE of 5w30 but could also used 0w30. or 0w40 and 5w40 only. Now!hmmm it doesnt say if its mineral semi synth or fullsynth , its due an oil change so im going to contact the vauxhall garage and try and find out what they used.
There are a couple steps you can take when your 2002 Taurus alarm keeps going off. You can either disconnect the battery or bring your car to a professional to reset the computer in the car.
i have problems with mine from time to time, and the only way i have been able to get round it ... is to disconnect the battery. one terminal, this stops the charge going throught to the immobilizer and once reconnected it resets.
There are many reasons why a car won't start. The battery may be drained, the cables may be bad, there may not be enough fuel or any fuel getting to the engine, the alternator or start may be going bad.
easy! disconnect the battery for 15-20 mins *. Darren Nunez * this does not 'disarm' the alarm, to do this, remove the service fuse #12. be warned that you will loose the computer and the aircon/heater if you do this but it stops the alarm going off! - nbc
It needs to be done by a dealer. Otherwise someone could buy a fob, program it to a car them self & then drive the car away without the alarm going off.
my alarm keeps going of and wont start.
If I was you I would disconnect the battery.
be carefull, removing the aftermarket module can make the car not start, as they may have tapped into the ignition circuit.... check all the WIRING going to their alarm module, and see if they have changed any of the original harness... good luck :)
