Try the higher octane gas you can find.
Ping under acceleration or under load.
accelerator ping is caused by to low aoctane fuel you are using this can be easliy corrected by buying higher octane,or by having a "good: mechanic ,tune your engine to the octane rating you are using
what causes my corola dx wagon with a 5e engine to ping
If vehicle does not "ping" severly on acceleration - no advantage
Higher octane fuels.
As long as it does not "ping" severely upon acceleration it should be fine
cheap gas or your timing is out of wack put hi test gas in first to see if that takes the ping a way
Variety of possible answers. My first guess is a bad maf sensor that is reading the cubic feet of air coming into the engine and reporting the data to the computer. The computer makes an adjustment that is based on bad data.
Check the timing or you may have to use a higher octane fuel
sounds like your describing "engine Ping" it means your timing is out and your engine needs to be tuned
Low octane fuel, timing to far advanced, overheating.
Allowing an engine to ping excessively can do serious damage.
