For a 1994 Jaguar XJS, it's recommended to use a mixture of ethylene glycol-based coolant with a 50/50 ratio of coolant to distilled water. Ensure you choose a coolant that meets the specifications for Jaguar vehicles, typically one that contains anti-corrosive properties and is compatible with aluminum engines. It's also advisable to avoid using coolants with silicates, as they can cause damage to the engine. Always check the owner's manual for any specific recommendations.
10 quarts with filter, run for several minutes, turn off for 5 and check on level ground
It could be a problem with the distributor cap (a hairline crack ) or what happened to my xjs ...the crankshaft sensor failed.... causing the car to stall and not re-start until the engine temperature cooled down ,there are two sensors one at the front by the water pump and one by the gearbox housing
coolant reservoir
I use semi-synthetic Castrol Magnatec 10w40 in my 115,000 mile 1995 4.0 Sovereign. Still purring like a kitten!!
The coolant capacities for gas engines are: 351cid-16qts 460cid-17.5
30 mm
94 Taurus never had a 3.3L engine, only 3.0L and 3.8L
No! 93 and 94 will interchange though.
your heater core is bad
On the side of the water pump housing
usually 2 gallons of 50/50 does it
It doesn't have one. If you wanna add more coolant you will have to do it with from your reservoir.
