Unfortunately, there are too many moving parts on a vehicle to give you an adequate answer. It all depends on the circumstances under which the vibration occurs. (Such as it only occurs while idling, accelerating, etc...) I can tell you that there are repair shops that will give your vehicle a free inspection. Just call around. Even if there are no mechanics willing to look at it for free, I'd still get it looked at. Unusual/abnormal vibrations can cause damage to perfectly fine parts of your car if you leave it go for too long, thus adding to the repair bill. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

What can cause Engine vibration in VW beetle?

Usually the crankshaft is not balanced properly, but there can be any number of things that can cause this. I would talk to a mechanic, and soon, if you don't know how to check for this. By the way, most original beetles do shake a little naturally. This is due to the design (opposed four) of the engine and the firing pattern.

It is according to when you feel the vibration. If you have a vibration at higher speeds, your driveshaft could be out of balance. At lower speeds, you may actually have a cracked engine mount. Take it to a shop before it tears something up.
