In a Volvo S40, warning lights on the dashboard indicate various vehicle issues or statuses. Common lights include the check engine light for engine problems, the oil pressure light for low oil pressure, and the battery warning light for electrical issues. It's essential to consult the owner's manual for specific meanings and recommended actions for each warning light.

The green triangle warning light on a Volvo S40 typically indicates that the vehicle's stability control system, or traction control system, is activated. This light may illuminate when the system is engaged to help maintain traction during slippery conditions or cornering. If the light stays on or flashes frequently, it may suggest that the system is working to correct traction issues. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific information regarding warning lights and their meanings.
