You can practicaly change a golf engine of your choice besides the VR6 golf motor. You can even install a 2Lt 8 valve or 16 valve.
Yes, you can swap a 1992 VW Passat 16V DOHC engine into an 1986 VW Cabriolet, but it requires several modifications. You'll need to change the engine mounts, transmission, and possibly the wiring harness and ECU to accommodate the newer engine. Additionally, you'll need to ensure compatibility with the cooling system and exhaust setup. Fuel delivery and intake modifications may also be necessary to complete the swap successfully.
i wouldn't swap it, the 87 is carbureated and the prelude is fuel injected, just put the same engine in. the 87 accord engine has less hp .
One popular engine swap for the 1987 Mazda B2200 pickup is the Mazda KL-series V6 engine, specifically the 2.5L KLZE or KL03. This engine offers more power and torque compared to the stock engine and can be fitted with some modifications to the engine mounts and wiring. Another option is the Ford 2.3L turbo engine, which can provide a performance boost and is compatible due to Mazda's historical partnership with Ford. Always ensure proper planning and compatibility with transmission and drivetrain components when considering an engine swap.
I have a 88 B2200 and i did a 318 V8 swap. Wasnt hard. Added coils to front. Welded in the mounts and changed nothing else. Fast but managable.
Vvl swap

Depends on the engine. I believe they are different body styles so it's unlikely that the sheet metal would swap.
yes because you can swap a h23 transmission onto an h22 engine
No vehicle or engine type
It would help to know what engine you're trying to swap in. Quite a difference between trying to swap in a newer engine of the same model and trying to swap in, say, a Chevy small block.
