Each piston has an arrow on top. Point it at the flywheel end.
Driver side, front piston.
To ensure the piston top is facing the correct direction after being placed in the block, check for any alignment marks or notches on the piston and block that indicate the proper orientation. Additionally, the piston usually has a specific shape or design (such as a valve relief) that should align with the cylinder head and valves. Finally, confirming that the piston rings are correctly seated and not twisted can also help verify proper installation.
It's the front (front of the engine is front of the car) piston on the right side of the engine.
You never replace a piston without replacing the cylinder too, as they're a matched set. The ones you want are for the 1600 cc engine.
When the point are in no 1 position and just closing no 1 piston is up.
To install piston rings onto a piston, a ring compressor is typically used to ensure the rings are properly seated and do not become damaged during installation. Additionally, it's important to lubricate the piston and rings with engine oil before installation to facilitate smooth movement and prevent wear. Make sure to align the ring gaps according to the manufacturer's specifications for optimal performance.
