Mechanic that once worked at VW dealer told me it was hydraulic fluid, better know as Power Steering fluid. He recommended buying from the dealer to keep the same quality when adding to the reservoir.

The motor for the convertible top on a 2002 Toyota Solara is located beneath the rear seat, specifically on the driver's side. To access it, you typically need to remove the rear seat cushion and possibly some trim panels. The motor is part of the convertible top mechanism and is responsible for the operation of the top.

To add transmission fluid to a 2002 VW Cabrio, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is warm. Locate the transmission dipstick, which is typically found near the back of the engine compartment. Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it, and then check the fluid level. If it’s low, use a funnel to add the appropriate type of transmission fluid through the dipstick tube until it reaches the correct level.
The only direct fit is the same engine that was in it.
cabrio's were made from 1995-2002. cabriolet is anything older than 1995.
