In the Volvo Computer system, they can pull up a build sheet on your specific car. It will tell all of the options that your vehicle shipped with, and will also list the Radio Code. If your car was upgraded with a different Volvo radio, aftermarket, then the code they have on file will be invalid, and you will need to take it to the dealer. They will pull the radio and find the code based on a number printed on the back of the unit.
