The oil drain plug on the sump is to the rear of the sump on the side 17mm spanner or socket required to remove Drain plug
It should be a 36mm socket.
Does it have airbags ? If not the centre of the steering wheel will have a removable badge or logo, remove this and you will see a nut that needs to be loosened with a wrench/socket
Disconnect the negative battery cable, using a socket. Remove the lower steering column shroud, using screwdriver. Lower the steering column by removing the three 15 mm nuts in the column support bracket on the instrument panel, using a socket. Pull the electrical plug out of the ignition switch. Remove the two bolts securing the ignition switch to the steering column, using the appropriate socket. Lift the ignition switch off the column. Hope this helps.
36mm.

To remove the steering wheel on a 1984 Mercedes 300 you first need to remove the Mercedes logo in the center of the wheel to access the bolt holding the wheel in place. A 10mm allen socket with a 6-inch extension is needed to remove the bolt.
Tools required would be a "pickle fork" and a socket set, remove the cotter pin and remove the castle nut off the idler arm seperate the idler from the steering link with the pickle fork then unbolt the idler from the vans frame just reverse the procedure and be sure to grease the entire front steering assembly when finished.
T-55 Torx Socket (DO NOT USE AN ALLEN WRENCH) - To remove the 3 bolts that secure hub assemble to steering knuckle. 1 -3/16 deep socket - To remove axle spindle nut.
You'll have to take it in so they can reset the memory code.
There is no cigarette lighter. Great for me because I never smoked
The pulley has holes in it so you can stick a socket through on top of the bolt head. Sometimes the socket doesnt fit squaely on bolt head so you may just have to take power steering pulley off first to get to the two bolts that run throught the top and bottom of pump. This way might be the easiest. And of course you have to unloosen the lines that runs to it and it will come off. So they are only two bolts to take off, and you have to use a socket and a wrench, or two wrenches to remove bolt and nut.
