Power Steering fluid from any auto parts store will work great in a 2002 (or any) vw Beetle. Don't have to spend big money at the dealer-its the same.

If you went to a VW dealer's parts counter for power steering fluid, you would receive relabeled Pentosin CHF11S. DO NOT put "power steering fluid" from a regular auto parts store in your car.
