there is a pad behind the passenger side airbag, simply remove the airbag and disconnect it, there will be four bolts on the plastic panel, do not worry about removing these. Remove the plastic clip on the left of the panel, the fuses are behind this panel. If you do not want to bother about this you can take it to a mechanic who will most likely charge you for this when it is alot simpler than it sound.
Check fuses
Try checking the fuses.
We have a 2000 Montana and yes it does have automatic door locks.
All fuses are under the hood, next to the battery.
Check the door relay and wiring on the Windstar. Check the fuses under the dash, and in the under the hood distribution box as well.
verify the cables that are NOT tocuhing the metal door. Sometimes the cables are old and they crack, just put black tape (electric tape) and that should fix the problem.
Electric doors?? Are you talking about door locks? If so, even though they are electric, you can still operate them manually. Disconnect the power to the door locks and they are then manual.
Door lock actuators have fuses or sensors that may burn out over time. When troubleshooting a keyless entry system in a Pontiac Grand Am GT be sure to check the fuses for the door locks. Also check the wiring from the door locks to the cabin harness as well as the door lock actuator themselves.
Try checking all fuses
Check the fuses first. Check the wiring near the door hinge.
