If your AC works and you can fell the metal lines with your hand, the high side is the line running to the radiator area of the truck first. It will be hot from the pressure. The cold line that is normally dripping with condensation is the low side at the fire wall, pasenger side.

Yes, there are only grease fittings on the lower control arm ball joints one each side. It seems that some were delivered with these grease fittings and some just had thread plugs instead.
There should be a sticker under the hood indicating whether it uses R12 or R134A. Unfortunatley a lot dont. The only way to tell is by the high and low side fittings. R12 fittings are bothe the same size. R134A has two different size fittings where one is larger than the other, ussually the high side fitting is larger than the low side.
