The coolant reservoir is typically located under the bonnet (hood) of a vehicle, often near the engine. It is usually a translucent plastic tank with a cap labeled for coolant or antifreeze. In some vehicles, the radiator filler neck may also be accessible under the bonnet, where coolant can be added directly. Always ensure the engine is cool before checking or adding coolant to avoid burns or injury.

In addition to using the interior release lever, you can open the bonnet of a Ford Fiesta by locating the secondary latch under the front edge of the bonnet. To do this, stand in front of the vehicle, slide your hand under the centre of the bonnet, and feel for the latch. Once you find it, pull it upwards while simultaneously lifting the bonnet. Always ensure the bonnet is securely propped open before working under it.
