To fit the alternator belt on a Frontera TDI, first, ensure the engine is off and cool. Loosen the tensioner bolt and adjust the tensioner to relieve tension on the old belt, then remove it. Route the new belt around the alternator and other pulleys according to the belt routing diagram, ensuring it sits correctly in the grooves. Finally, adjust the tension on the tensioner, tighten the tensioner bolt, and check the belt for proper alignment and tension before starting the engine.
