no
My vectra is a 1999 S plate and has a factory fitted immobilizer, I think that alarm/ immobilisers were fitted as standard the year after mine.
your horn is not working, the alarm has a different horn.
That would be an alarm the horn is behind the grill
Replace the horn it has batteries in it. Alarm horn is in the left front fender. Pull left front tire and wheel. Move the inner fender and you will see the horn. You may have to find someone with Tech 2 to code the horn and alarm.
unplug the horn.
If the horn doesn't beep when setting the alarm, it could be due to a few reasons. The alarm system may not be programmed to sound the horn during the setting process, or there might be a malfunction in the horn or alarm system itself. Additionally, the vehicle's battery could be weak, affecting the power supply to the horn. Checking the vehicle's manual or consulting a professional can help diagnose the issue.
In an alarm condition, the siren output is a steady output, rather than a pulsed one. To connect the car alarm system to the car horn, simply hook it up with the relay to switch the horn power.
YesYes
