The VIN/chassis number on a 1998 Renault Megane can be found at the following locations: Stamping: on the offside suspension turret under bonnet. (Looking from front of car towards the rear, it will be on the left hand side near the hinge) Plate: Driver's (offside) door piller at the base (between the driver and passenger door) Visible VIN: Stamped on the base of the windscreen on the nearside in two lines - please note if windscreen has been replaced this might be lost.
