To replace the expansion valve on a 1999 GMC Safari rear AC, first, ensure the system is decharged and disconnect the battery. Remove the rear AC unit's access panel, then locate the expansion valve, which is typically situated near the evaporator. Disconnect the refrigerant lines and electrical connectors from the valve, then unbolt it from its mounting. Install the new valve, reconnect the components, and recharge the AC system before testing for proper operation.
To replace the expansion valve on the rear AC of a 1992 GMC Suburban, first ensure the AC system is fully discharged to avoid refrigerant exposure. Remove the rear AC unit's cover and disconnect the refrigerant lines connected to the expansion valve. Remove any mounting screws or bolts securing the valve, then take out the old valve and install the new one, ensuring proper orientation and sealing. Finally, reconnect the refrigerant lines, reassemble the AC unit, and recharge the system with refrigerant.
