Check and change the relay
On a 1994 Volvo 850, the starter relay is typically located in the engine compartment, mounted on the inner fender near the battery. It is part of the relay box, which houses several relays and fuses. To access it, you may need to remove a cover or panel. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams.

The main relay on a 1996 Volvo 850 non-turbo is located in the engine compartment, specifically in the relay and fuse box situated near the battery. You can find the relay by removing the cover of the box, and it is typically labeled for easy identification. If you need to replace it, ensure the vehicle is turned off and take necessary precautions to avoid electrical issues.
