On a 2004 Audi A6 Quattro 3.0, the transmission dipstick is located near the back of the engine bay, typically on the driver's side. It may be covered by a plastic engine cover, which you'll need to remove to access it. Unlike some vehicles, this model may not have a conventional dipstick for checking the transmission fluid level; instead, the fluid level is often checked through a fill plug on the transmission itself.
Which year/chassis?

You may need to remove the dipstick or plug using a wrench. It's important to check the fluid level with the engine running and the transmission in park or neutral for accurate measurement.
