My 2000 323iT wagon's fuse card shows that the washer system has THREE (!) fuses: #49 (5 amps) bottom left bank 4th from the center, #52 (30 amps) bottom left bank rightmost, #59 (30 amps) bottom right bank 7th from center. I don't know why there are three fuses stated on the card just for the the washer. I removed the 5 amp fuse (#49) because the washer was not working but as soon as I unplugged the fuse the alarm blared out! Reading through the manual did not tell me anything on how to avoid triggering the alarm. Maybe I should insert the key in the ignition in the OFF position. I'll try that tomorrow.
The windshield washer motor on a Mazda 323 is typically located near the windshield washer fluid reservoir, which is usually found in the engine compartment. You may need to remove the reservoir to access the motor, as it is often mounted directly to it or nearby. Always refer to the specific service manual for your model year for precise locations and instructions.
Your windshield wipers on a 1988 Mazda 323 may stop working due to several reasons, such as a blown fuse, a faulty wiper motor, or worn-out wiper blades. Additionally, issues with the wiper switch or a broken linkage could also be the culprit. Inspecting the fuse and testing the wiper motor can help identify the problem. If these components are functioning properly, it may be necessary to check the wiring for any damage.
