check the accelerator cable, i had a problem with this, and also had a split in my pedal at the same time
Idle is computer controlled, there is no adjustment screw.
Try changing or cleaning out the stepper motor, this controls the idle and is a common fault on the 306.
it has a low idle. Can also be a vacuum hose leak.

z idle adjustmentTurn the idle screw - on the intake manifold - clockwise to decrease rpm or counterclockwise to increase idle. You should also look around for a vacuum leak
Aprox 650 rpm in drive.
That's what they do. maybe check carb settings and such.
probably a leak in the intake would cause the rev in neutral and as for the oil pressure gauge i still haven't got that figured out but its not just a problem on tahoes i have a 2500 pickup which also does that ANSWER When was the last time you changed the oil engine?. Replace and check.
could be: sticking throttle linkage, idle air control malfunction, or in emission system.
A vacuum leak could do that. Did it have a high idle before you changed the throttle body? Any codes?
Driver error.
As far as I've been told, the idle is set by the pump? So if it's low the pump might need rebuilding soon.
