The issue with your 2006 Mini Cooper radio playing randomly, even when turned off or with the key removed, is likely due to an electrical fault, such as a short circuit or a malfunctioning ignition switch. This can cause the radio to receive power even when it shouldn’t. Another possibility is a problem with the vehicle's body control module, which may be sending incorrect signals to the radio. Diagnosing the problem may require professional assistance to ensure proper repairs.
To retrieve or enter the radio code for a Mini Cooper, you'll typically need the vehicle's VIN and the radio serial number. The radio code can often be found in the owner's manual, or you can obtain it from a Mini dealership or authorized service center. If you have the radio removed, the serial number is usually on a label on the radio itself. Always ensure you follow the manufacturer's guidelines to avoid locking the system.
Yes, the radio in a Mini Cooper can stay on when the engine is off, depending on the settings and the specific model. Typically, the radio will remain active for a short period after the ignition is turned off to allow for music or news to continue playing. However, it will eventually turn off automatically to prevent draining the battery. Always refer to the owner's manual for precise information regarding your specific model.

The radio in a Malibu Maxx can be removed by dismantling the dashboard panel. The radio will need to be disconnected from the wiring before it is removed from its mount.
I just baught 2004 toyota tacoma and radio didn't work. The radio worked after I replaced a 15AM burned fuse, later I noticed the key got stuck in the ignition which wasn't a problem before i replaced the burned fuse. The only way I got the key out of the ignition was after a removed the newly installed fuse. Now every time i wanna listen to music i have to plug back the 15AM fuse, and unpluge it to remove it from ignition,, good exercises lol.
The stock radio in an Acura needs to be taken to a shop to be removed, if you do not have any automotive training. The dashboard has to be removed to be able to take the radio out.Ê
The radio time would stay on if you had the keys in the ignition but the ignition was only turned halfway.
because you have the constant power and the ignition power crossed
