I would first check to see if your battery has any stored power, if that's good Check the main fuse to make sure it isn't blown, or it could simply be a starter
Turn the ignition key to "acc" to release the steering mechanism without starting the engine, shift the lever to park, turn the ignition key back to lock and remove key. If the car is at a full stop, nothing will happen to the transmission, so's long as it isn't done often.
Might not be sensing the microchip in the key to match with the car.
need to change ignition switch
Starter relay, neutral/park safety switch, ingition switch in the column, ignition fuse.
Probably ignition switch. Have it checked out.
turn key over turn key over
I usually take the key out, turn it, and put it back in ignition to start
move the steering wheel while attempting to turn ignition key
It could be a bad battery, or connection. A bad starter and or solenoid could be the problem, along with an ignition switch to name a few.
starter
Your ignition also locks your steering and at times you need to move the steering wheel a little and at the same turn your ignition key. Then you should be able to turn the key and start the engine. Hal
Wrong key?
