The problem is that after 30 plus years the wires get old and the electrical resistance increases until turning the key just doesn't supply enough to engage the starter. The good news is there's an easy fix. Visit the link posted below in the Sources section.
Well actually if it is started then it has turned over.
Same thing happened to me! Turned out to be the fuel pump relay. Located in the fuse box under the hood, drivers side!
I had the same thing happen to me and my 96' suburban. It turned out to be that the battery was shot and wouldn't hold enough of a charge to turn over the engine. Might be the same thing with you.
My volvo s80 1999 model suddenly turned off and wont start. How do i detect theproblem
Make sure it's getting gas and has spark to the plugs.
check the battery and connections/cables
I had a camoro that did the same thing, after awhile it did not start at all, would turn over great but not start. it turned out to be the ignition module.
The first thing to check is the battery, it may be flat.
You have to either start over or load another thing
Is there gas in the vehicle ?
The past tense of turn over is "turned over."The past perfect tense is "had turned over."
Could be the ignition switch, the starter, a faulty wire, the battery...
