Check the fan relay, if it is good then replace the coolant temperature sensor, the AC circuit is separate but it does verify that the fan works.
Check the thermal relay for the cooling fan.
your cooling fan is not operating correctly
Perhaps there is no problem at all with your car's cooling system! The fan(s) you observe are controlled electrically by a second engine thermostat which will turn the fan on only to support cooloing when there is little forward motion of the vehicle. The fan(s)are designed to turn freely in the rushing wind and will only turn on when your car slows and needs "wind" to continue the cooling.
HVAC fan? Engine cooling fan?
If radiator cooling fan it turns on only when temperature sensor reaches temp needed to cool car, then when enough cooling takes place, it gets told by sensor to turn off.
the engine temperature has to get to 225 degrees Fahrenheit to turn on. If the engine is reaching 230 degrees and it is not turning on the sensor for the engine cooling fan is most likely the culprit. As for the fan operation of the fan with the a/c that is normal
If the AC or Defroster is on, many vehicles will also turn on the cooling fan.
You need to check the cooling fan relay and the cooling fan switch.it only turns on when needed.other then when you turn the ac on then its always on.The reason the fan runs with the air conditioning is "on" is to keep the high side pressure down. Otherwise it would increase to the point of something blowing out such as a hose or the pop off valve in the compressor. If the check engine light is "on" the it will have a code referring to the problem
Cooling fan? will only come on when: vehicle temp exceeds 235o F or when a/c or defroster is activated
there is a Senior that kick it the fans on it is located under the throttle body or it might be the primary fan is bad and only the second fan is working
The fan has two different ways to turn on in the Escort. Check the temperature gauge and its circuit as these control the fan when the engine heats up.
get in the car when it is cold, turn on the ac, then check under the hood. the fan that is not spinning when the car is cold is the cooling fan
